Installment through BOP

To facilitate the distribution of bikes to students, the Punjab government has partnered with the Bank of Punjab (BOP). Through this collaboration, students will have access to convenient installment plans without any interest charges.

The government has outlined a comprehensive distribution plan for the bikes. A total of 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 E-bikes will be rolled out to students. The distribution will be conducted through a draw scheduled for May, with deliveries commencing in the same month.

To ensure equitable access, a quota system will be implemented. In urban areas, the quota will be divided equally between male and female students, while in rural areas, 70% of the quota will be reserved for male students and 30% for female students.
